Getting the Details Down...

I want to emphasize that this is not a Service Auction. The focus is on ready made handcrafted items or ready to make kits that we trade. Often times when people win a service (i.e. a pedicure, babysitting, window washing) at a Service Auction they never recieve the service they won due to the other person forgetting that they even offered it, the giver being too busy to fulfill their end of the deal... or an insincere offer that never was meant to be fulfilled. So.. let's keep the services to a minimum. If you are offering a service please do it within 2 weeks of the Boutique Exchange Night (which will be just before Thanksgiving). Goods are not to be exchanged until services have been provided. Do any of you have any comments about this 'Service' aspect of the barter????? I'm still working out the details for the method of bartering since we want items to be ordered and then made. Not having you make a bunch of something to sell 'in hopes' that someone will purchase them and then be stuck with a lot of your product.

Maggie,

I'm very excited for this. This is going to really make our limited Christmas budget stretch. Are we going to earn credits when people order our items and then be able to spend those credits with anyone else in the group, or does the trade have to be straight across? Also, can we make two items in hopes to appeal to more than one demographic? Also, can my mom participate?
